Weekly blog #6
🎉 Since September last year, I helped 193 people get a new Product job. That includes 7 more people since 2 weeks ago! Here is an update on how I will help more:
Well, I must say after 10 intensive months of work, I’m a little bit out of juice. I had the weekend all to myself and planned to record YouTube videos for the rest of the year, a new course and redo one of my main course’s chapters. Sadly, I only managed to pull off the YouTube part and you know what? That’s OK!
I feel guilty not being able to release a new course before Black Friday, but that’s just it. The scripts weren’t polished enough and I’m generally running on fumes. Even if I forced myself to record, that would be a disaster on multiple fronts. The tired narration would result in too many edits and there is a gigantic difference between me recording with full strength and enthusiasm, and when forcing myself to do it. The pain is visible in my face and then I take a day or two before I can be productive again. That is no way to care for oneself.
On the bright side, I have enough energy now to proceed with scripts for my LinkedIn Learning course, 5 full videos to edit and 22 1minutes shorts I plan to release by the end of the year. A great interview @Lokesh Gupta took with me just landed on the channel, too! I might take another YouTube break in January, but this remains to be seen.
After months of hard work, I’m also taking a week’s holiday next week. Can’t wait! I love being productive, I love to work for Skype and create content that changes people’s lives and careers for the better. But it is all at some expense and time to recharge the batteries! :)
